First proof that 'Threads Feed' Ads are coming? 👀 🔍 I've just spotted this NEW Placement filter in Meta Ads Reporting. --- 🧵 Meta Ads Reporting is now including a 'Threads Feed' placement option to break down your Facebook Ads results. Of course when I select this placement today, it doesn't show any results as it's currently not possible to select the 'Threads Feed' placement at the ad set level in Ads Manager. However, seeing this new placement appear in the advanced reporting interface is most likely related to the coming release of a new 'Threads Feed' ad placement. A new 'Threads Feed' placement would mean that advertisers can show ads in the Threads feed itself, right between organic posts. How the creative type would look and which options it would feature is to be seen, but I assume it would be similar to how ads are shown in the X (Twitter) feed. --- 📊 Meta only recently launched 'insights' for Threads users. A new analytics dashboard to get performance insights for your Threads profile and posts. Threads is also growing at a rapid pace and now counts over 200 million monthly active users. It would make sense to start providing advertising solutions for businesses to run ads on the Threads feed. --- ⚠️ Disclaimer: Note that at the date of this post, there isn't any official information about this release yet. I'm only sharing what I'm currently seeing in the live Meta Ads Reporting interface as it seems to me to be early proof of a new ad placement. Nice post! In my opinion, 200 million users seems like a lot but there is no churn, since Instagram doesn’t allow users to delete their account, if you keep your instagram, you keep threads. This means that the Daily Active Users will be lower than expected, and i would watch out for high CPM’s or low engagement of your target audience. Either way I’m eager to try text ads there.
I'm curious to learn what sort of audience (active) hangout on Threads? Is it GenZ, Baby Boomers or others....
